Ridge Tiles – Delaminating

| July 13, 2011 | 0 Comments More

If you live on Highwoods Park or Elm Tree Grove you may have noticed a lot of houses having scaffolding erected and roof work being carried out…

This is due to a large number of houses having problems with their ridge tiles delaminating and breaking apart, there are some rumours that the wrong mortar was used for fixing these ridge tiles during construction.

The work is being carried out by Taylor Wimpey as a result of NHBC claims ( National House Building Council )

There is aproximately two years remaining on the NHBC warranties for these houses, so it may be worthwhile checking your roof for signs of damage or fragments of ridge tile or mortar on the ground around your house.

Ps: They can find your NHBC policy number from your address.
